I wonder if dropping...Thanks for the update Curly! I wonder if dropping the cable in the 4ft is problematical. It means you have to throw it over a rail to get it outside the track all in one go before any trains can use the line. Would it be possible to unreel it and drop it outside the rails as the railcar goes along?
